I'm going to LV next weekend (Jan 13-16) and was wondering where are the lively/happening casinos in the wee hours of the morning?

Any thoughts from the night owls out there?

Palms might be a good choice.
Not really sure what you mean by "lively/happening" casinos in the wee hours... most casinos [i.e. the actual casino floor] get pretty quiet in the wee hours. I personally like the craps crews at the RIO which come on at 4AM --- and have often gone from the Palms to the RIO at around that time... Probably the only game that has a chance of being "happening" in the wee hours is a hot craps game... everything else is more than likely to have rather comatose [and possibly drunk] late night gamblers [especially on the weekends]. :D :D

There are a number of after hours clubs, like the one at B-Coast... if that is what you are trying to refer to....

Mandalay Bay is brighter and is supposed to have a younger crowd than most casinos. Most casinos are dark and there are no windows, so it really doesn't matter what time it is.

I've "gotten up" to play blacjack in the wee hours of the morning at several casinos, and you tend to have the real hardcores at the table, which makes it interesting. However, I would not describe it as rowdy.

Where are the happening casinos at night? Any of them. At least any of the Strip casinos. I love to play late at night. All the looky-loos, convention-goers, everybody who isn't there to play has gone to bed. You don't have to stand in line for anything, not the coffee shop, nor the valet, nor the cashier, nor taxis. There is plenty of room at the tables and the minimum limits are lower. I just wish more hotels had their jacuzzis open 24/7, there are only a handful that I know of.

It's very eerie and fun to be laying down your bets while the above-mentioned folks are just getting up to hit the breakfast buffets.

It opens up earlier now. The crowd that used to frequent there, has now migrated to another club. This is recent, just like in the last few months.
