Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Brisbane HotelView Full Version : Brisbane Hotel dcpremex Jan 5, 06, 11:53 pm Can anyone recomend the best one? krug Jan 6, 06, 12:10 am I have visited twice and both times enjoyed the marriott very much. It is relatively new (about five years old), well located and has great views. http://marriott.com/property/propertypage.mi?marshaCode=BNEDT Down the road is Surfer's Paradise and the jaw droppingly kitsch, but nonethless rather superb www.palazzoversace.com QF NB Jan 6, 06, 6:58 am As a local Brisbane resident I recommend the Stamford Plaza Brisbane (http://www.stamford.com.au/spb/). Employees are friendly and the location is great. It's a very well maintained hotel. I've heard the Hilton and Treasury Casino are supposed to be two of the top hotels in Brisbane. There's also all your Accor Hotel brand hotels such as Mercure, Ibis and Sofitel. I've also stayed at the Holiday Inn Brisbane. Staff are very friendly and rooms are clean and comfortable. Stayed on the top level in an Executive Club room. Views were very good, although I had a view of Roma Street Parklands and Roma Street Railway Station and not the river which was a shame. The Holiday Inn has a deal for about AUD$90 a night for a basic room until mid-JAN. Good if you need to do a bed-run :D I'd really love to see another IHG Hotel in Brisbane namely Intercontinental but I doubt I'd ever see that. Regards |
