I don't know if this is the correct forum or not. I'm considering making a trip to Ulster this June. One possibility is flying AA nonstop LAX-LHR then BD LHR-BHD. Upon arrival at Heathrow, how much time should I allow at to clear customs and immigration, change terminals if necessary, and check in and recheck bags for the flight from LHR to BHD?

I'd give it minimum 3 hours to take into account delays at both ends.
You'll need to get from T3 to T1.
Cheers,

Official minimum connection time is 75 minutes (1 hour 15). You'll need at the very least 90 minutes (1 hour 30). AA uses T3, BD and other domestic flights use T1 - it's a fair walk.
Taking only carry-on baggage would make the process a lot easier, as you could "immigrate" and reclear security at the Flight Connections Centre with your bags in tow which, while imperfect, is better than going landside.

I agree 90mins is plenty of time with only hand luggage, ive done it many times myself, but if your checking luggage, allow at least 2 hours because baggage at LHR is very unpredictable, sometimes its out in 10-15mins, others it can take 45mins!!!
