Travel Technology - bandwidth of connexion by boeing

hello (and a happy new year to all of you) I just wondered what the bandwidth of the in-flight wifi is during the fligth. I wonder this because i just got civ4 and the 8 hour hop across the pond would be fine for a multi player game. I know that skype works out fine, but has anyone tried gaming, 30000 miles up?

and yes i do take great care when i do this, screen facing away from other people (im a window person), headphones etc etc etc

Civ4 is not bandwidth-intensive and latency does not matter either - you will be fine. Don't try Counterstrike though. :)

If I am not mistaken the bandwidth is 5Mbit down, 256kbit up with bursts up to 20 down and 1mbit up.
