I'm a little slow on this card stuff....
I already have a Delta Plat. card and Silver status with Delta.
What would the Centurion card offered to me add?
I add a recomendation to do a search :D
There is soooo much on this card it isn't funny. LOTS and LOTS of info is available for YOU to make up your mind.
Just go back a few pages and I am sure you will find a few threads on it even without searching.
Anyway only start worrying about it if you get an invite.
Oh and welcome to FT

From Page 236 of Guerrilla Travel Tactics (http://www.amanet.org/books/catalog/0814471706.htm) by Levinson/Brandt-Sarif:
We suggest you acquire [the Centurion] card if your ego needs a boost. Better yet, save a grand and just frame the invitation to show your friends that you could have owned the card--and wisely resisted!
Mods: I believe this is brief enough not to fall afoul of the copyrighted-material restriction. I've cited it and even given a link to buy it.
it seems to be a bit overpriced to me, unless you fly many different airlines and really like to have access to their clubs

You really want it. But do you really want to pay that much...
Ask Amexco to pay you €2000, but you have to use their Centurion card.
No!
Of course, I may well be the only peson to have actually turned down the offer. ;)

One doesn't need to be invited to get a Centurion. You need to meet three criteria and then you can request it:
1.) Prior AMEX cardholder (green, gold, plat, etc.) for at least 1 year
2.) Good payment history of 6+ months on the prior card
3.) $250,000 charged *AND* paid for in full within the previous 12 months
I'll let you search the forum for the detailed benefits.

For most of us, it's an ongoing decision related to the benefits offered. Many have said that if they remove the Starwood Platinum Elite, we'll be gone. It's the best benefit I've gotten and would cause me to seriously reconsider.
