Anyone hear about the new place that is going to be on the site that the Stardust is currently on? Supposedly it's going to be called the Echelon Place that has 5 hotels and over 5000 rooms. Stardust is slated to be operated through 2006.

I guess most people other than me don't care about whether or not there will be an implosion. :D (The word is that the current building will be imploded.)
From VegasTodayAndTomorrow.com (http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/echelon_place.htm):
Along with the news of Echelon Place, Boyd announced that they intend to redevelop the Barbary Coast. No details were released on this proposal except that the plans will take a back seat to the Echelon Place project.

The Riviera, Frontier, and the Sahara are the only 50's era strip resorts left. Visit them while you can! :)

Frontier won't be long now ... with the Stardust on one side they could just be the boundary between new and old Vegas, but this change will force them to do something. There have been too many rumors for too long, and that huge surface parking lot has to have some better uses being proposed.

Just recently Boyd has just reached an agreement with Shangri-La to open a new 400 room hotel in Las Vegas, slated to commence service in 2010.

The 2 LV casinos that I will miss the least are the Stardust and the Frontier. They are both very old, even the hotel rooms are old. I figured that it is about time for the Stardust to go - the Frontier can not be far behind!

Can you ask me something? What about open new hotel at Echelson Place? What is the floors will be there? Is that almost 50 or 60? Does anyone if you know about more specific information about new hotel? The stuff would be much better than new hotel in the future. What about something for good new hotel in the future? I don't recall about nice new hotel room and suites, too. I am believe about they were ready for construction with new hotel.

I'm not really sure what you're saying, but I'm going to guess you're asking for the details of the new hotel. It's just been announced and there are very few details except through what you can see through the public announcements that have been put out so far. As it stands, there will likely be changes to that plan before construction even starts.
