El Reg is reporting that the LA Time is reporting that Google will launch it's own PC with M$ Windows. Read it here (http://www.theregister.com/2006/01/03/google_pc_claim/)
The article says the box will NOT be running Windows:
"Crucially, the rig is said to be based on Google's own operating system - most likely Linux in Google clothing - rather than Windows."

meh, so far just hearsay. if anything it's a google-ified version of linux, I doubt they've been developing their own OS from scratch without anyone knowing for the last few years. even still I'm doubtful - what's the point of a google PC? why not leave the thin-margin PC business to everyone else and take over with your software?
