Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - Sudden LY Price Jump TLV-EWR-TLV?

I may have been stupid and missed a great deal. In mid-December I was checking dates and prices for TLV-EWR-TLV (and JFK) June 30-mid July and there were lots of flights and classes with price points from around 1200 and up. I checked today and it looks like the only price points left are around 1700. Should I assume that people spent their Chanukkah vacation reserving all those lower price points and that I'm up the creek without a low price point?

While they sell seats for all flights a year in advance, LY publish most of it's fares only for the next season. Most June fares are published around passover time.

Regarding this summer - there are so many unknowns that can factor into the prices - the Israir/Arkia decision, DL entry into the market, AF extra morning flight and so on.

There is no real point in looking into June fares right now.

Thanks! So if a TA can see flights at $880 + tax + fuel = ~$1000+ I should still wait until Passover? (I haven't had to deal with flying to the states in the summer for many moons)

1000 USD is a good price in today's standards. Who knows what will happen 3 months from now. When TowerAir was around, prices were down to 600-800 at times. It's your call.
