Hi,
I got the Plat business USA card, but what I have been reading, a lot of benefitssuch as the AMEX VIP club acess or comp PP isnt listed on the site. Can I take advantage, or is that only foreign AMEX?
I would be going to Mexico City, would like to see their lounge.

With the US card, the only lounge you get is the CO PC, and only if you are flying CO that day.

There are actually 2 AMEX lounges in MEX in addition to the CO President's Club. There is a Centurion Club to which your Plat card will grant access outside security, and you have to pay for drinks there. It is a nice place to wait for someone arriving on a flight. There is another Centurion Club one floor above the President's Club. Go to the second floor, and it is right across from the AA Admiral's Club and shares a check in desk and bathrooms with the United Red Carpet Club.

Hope that helps, and have fun in the D.F.!

Is this an unpublished benefit of the Platinum card? In searching the AMEX site they only list the CO/DL/NW clubs for the Platinum card.

Or do the MEX Centurion lounges just happen to allow PLT card holders in? I'm not saying that I don't believe you, but it is somewhat surprising that PLT members would have access to the Centurion lounges everywhere.

I was in the MEX Centurion lounge this past week. However, I did not know about the second club there. Either way, it is quite nice having been remodeled since my last visit a year ago. There is a special section just for Centurion card holders.

I believe that a gold card will get you into the main area ( at least I have seen gold members showing their cards to get in). Several laptops are available for use including two at the bar. There is a kids room and at least two small conference rooms. There are snacks and in the past I have been able to get a sandwich but this time I did not see anyone with one or a menu but perhaps it was the time of day. I have never been charged for a drink.

By the way, the weather in MEX has been great lately.
