Asia - Where to buy suit fabrics in Thailand?

Hi,

I am in Bangkok, Thailand. I am looking to buy some suit fabric, and even a even a 'raincoat' you know the trenchcoat type that one can wear over a suit/business wear.

I am not necessarily looking to get the suit fabric tailored out here, just to purchase some good fabric.

With regards to the rain/trenchcoat I am not sure what the rules are regarding this board, but I am open to 'imitiations' if available.

Other than for Thai silk, there's not much of a local textile industry that produces good fabric. It's also a bit warm for the kind of coat that you're looking for so I doubt you'll find it there (other than for genuine, imported goods which are rather pricey).

Go straight to "Sampeng" in Chinatown for all fabrics. It's a small little walking street with fabric shops all around you. Here you will find a large selection and at the best prices.
