Itsa tough to get a real live human CRS until you wear out your fingers with the stupid newer telephone decision trees. Here is a link with some wonderful shortcuts to get a real human for some often called companies, ie for Verizon Wireless touch.... #00 or enter phone # then 0 then 4. One strategy I have found to be successful is to simply do not press any keys on the phone's keypad. The systems will generally assume you are calling from an older phone without touchtone and will then default your call to a live operator.

You used to be able to pretend you don't have a touchtone. Now, with voice recognition software so prevalent I just talk garble my speech when I call and that almost always gets me a human instantly.
