Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - CI and Hertz car rental credit (is 500 miles?)

As anyone rented with Hertz without an CI flight and still got 500 miles credit? I have rented Hertz and normall get 1/2 southwest credit, even with no Southwest flight, so wondering is the same with CI? (also any idea, is 500 miles or 1/2 credit worth more?)
