Las Vegas - WOW!It was packed in Vegas this weekend!

Christmas week used to be the slowest time of the year in Las Vegas-boy has that changed!
There were lines for everything this weekend.Paris and Alladin buffet were hour plus lines at 2 in the afternoon.
Dame Edna(Luxor)was sold out Christmas night.

I can't see waiting in line for 1 hour for a buffet, and I can't understand anyone else doing it, either -- especially in a town full of good places to eat.

I suspect the crowds were out there because it's Xmas weekend, as Xmas usually don't fall in a weekend.

I was almost out there, but the family decided to host some out of town relatives at home instead.

Not only was Clark Co. packed? So was my house??? Since X-mas landed
during the weekend, family decided the 4 day weekend was
something they decided to take advantage of?!!! I hope you had a good
stay cause now i have to play "merrymaid" now that they are long gone.
And even though i don`t do buffet lines? Family did and agreed/complained
about the long lines. They wouldn`t listen as i told them to go to FatBurger
or In N Out Burger.

A friend of mine went there and said the Aladdin buffet line at 4:30 was almost 2 hour wait on Sunday. Wynn's Saturday buffet was reported at 4 hour wait. I thought he was pulling my leg.

This was my 3rd time in Vegas for Christmas, and I have to say that it was BY FAR the most crowded of the three. Perhaps it was the w/end effect, but it was unreal. As expected, it was a bit heavier than normal on the various non-Christian persuasions (asians of various origins and jews, in particular), but quite a lot of Christian revelers as well.

I guess I got to the Saturday Wynn buffet in time, because my wait was only 45 mins. But everywhere I went (tables, strip, restaurants) was QUITE packed. Nonetheless, room rates were fairly reasonable, as they usually are at that time, which should reflect low demand.

Who knows?

Vegas has been incredibly packed the last couple of times I went. We were there for Thanksgiving last month and it was a zoo. I know Thanksgiving used to be a relatively slow time, but has been getting more and more popular. Well this year was crazy. We were staying at Paris and luckily we had a line pass for the buffet because the lines all weekend were over 2 hours.

We're heading back for the MLK weekend. We got Thurs & Fri comped at Paris, but both Paris & Ballys are completely sold out for Saturday, so we're staying across the street at Bellagio.

I was thinking the same thing. Bellagio casino floor at 2am was busier than Grand Central. And foot traffic of all types - seniors, toddlers on strollers, foreign visitors. You name it.

Wynn poker had waiting lists.

Lines everywhere.

Well next weekend is the CES and AES shows.
It will be totally insane. Like 150,000+ for those 2 conventions
together.

Always a gas to see all the Adult Entertainment ladies walking around the Venetian semi clad. The pit and floor managers go crazy.
Too much action to watch for them with the tables/pit
and all the interesting floor traffic. Too much fun !

We missed last year. But booked for this in May.
Maybe time to buy some casino stock.
With the prices they are getting from last minute bookings
on the strip.
