Will I get 100% credit for a "group" fare? I never saw my ticket, only my boarding pass with a Y fare, so I don't know the ticketed class.
thanks
thanks
Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - mileage plus credit for TG flightView Full Version : mileage plus credit for TG flight bill63 Dec 27, 05, 11:52 am Will I get 100% credit for a "group" fare? That should mention the fare class your ticket was booked into and you can look up the miles you will get for the flight. Usually only the V&W fare classes earn 50%, the rest earn full miles. malgudi Dec 27, 05, 4:08 pm http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=445613 bill63 Dec 27, 05, 9:32 pm I do not know what the fare class was. Perhaps I will call and try to find out. The UA site just states 100% for economy on TG, without fare class details. hclee01 Dec 27, 05, 10:23 pm I have taken a W class flight on TG 2 months back and choose to credit to UA MP. Got full credit (100%) of the mileages for the sector. flyin´ruddl Jan 1, 06, 2:21 pm I have taken a W class flight on TG 2 months back and choose to credit to UA MP. Got full credit (100%) of the mileages for the sector. Me to, but be warned. There are dark clouds showing up: Watch this: http://www.ual.com/page/article/0,,1194,00.html Especially the words: "However, G, V, and W booking classes are no longer eligible for accrual on Thai Airways." F.R. seanthepilot Jan 3, 06, 2:46 am UA's mileage plus is a bad choice to collect TG flight credits with. Actual miles are awarded to UA's MP, but collect with AC or TG (to name a few) and you collect 500 miles for each flight. IIRC I only got 351 on UA from BKK-CNX. flyin´ruddl Jan 3, 06, 11:22 am UA's mileage plus is a bad choice to collect TG flight credits with. Oh wow, that´s 149 miles `cheated` on you, but those 416 miles BKK-HKT helped me maintain my 1k-status. So it´s rather in the eye of the beholder, right? ;) F.R. seanthepilot Jan 4, 06, 3:56 am Oh wow, that´s 149 miles `cheated` on you, but those 416 miles BKK-HKT helped me maintain my 1k-status. Only important if you finished the year at 100,416 miles. :D  most people don't cut it that close to the 100,000 mile mark. ;) I also have status on AC, collecting 47,000 with them last year. I collect the non-UA metal flights to the other program. This year thinking of collecting my non-UA flights on TG or LH... I still have a few days to choose. I get my 1K on UA metal only. Fly 100,000 collect 200K+ bonuses. My only point was that it's not in the best intrest to collect TG flights on UA. Feel free to dis  agree UnitedFFinAsia Oct 26, 06, 9:17 am UA's mileage plus is a bad choice to collect TG flight credits with. Just double-checked my statement, and saw the 500 miles for the short flights. Didn´t realize before. Thanks for mentioning :). F.R. Thai-Kiwi Oct 27, 06, 10:15 am But for NZ flights credited to ROP, you still only get actual miles - at least that was the case in early Aug and before. :( |
