I'm new to using QF awards, wasn't sure of this from the T&C's.

If I made a one-way award booking on QF+QF codeshare, are date changes possible (is this the 2500 pt charge?). They would be paper tickets.
eg. DRW-CNS-POM on QF/PX (QF flight #).

They would be paper tickets. eg. DRW-CNS-POM on QF/PX (QF flight #).As all flights will be a QF flight number 90% sure would be electronic tickets.

There are a large number of Qantas tickets on codeshares that are still paper tickets.

IIRC, only BA (and maybe Lan) allows for e-tickets for the codeshares. The others are still paper.

All of this should eventually be sorted out as IATA mandates going to full e-tickets in (I Think) Mid 2007.

I'm not sure if QF charges extra for paper ticket re-issue for reward tickets. I don't think so though.

Yuck.. 5000 pts each, even worse! That would be nice if they waived it though, it's only 18k pts for the award.

Just ticketed a business class PAPER ticket one way from LHR-BOM on Jet Airways which is a new partner. One ticket in business class is 60K ...

eg. DRW-CNS-POM on QF/PX (QF flight #).Date changes are possible for paper ticketed award flights up until travel begins. This is subject to class availability and would nomally incur a 2,500 point revalidation fee However as you are a WP, this would normally be waived. See About the program - Terms & Conditions (http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/program/terms#jump13)13.7.5 Changes made after ticketing or after booking on Jetstar Asia, whether before or after commencement of travel, to flight number or date of travel, without changing:
(a) name or class of travel; or
(b) Segment routing,
will incur a Revalidation Fee (see the Fee Schedule). Changes are not permitted on any Award Flight paper tickets after travel has commenced. To put it another way, so long as you keep the same: (1) name, (2) class & (3) segments [DRW-CNS-POM] and you have not commenced travel you can change the dates & flights.

As has been alluded to above, there are two possible change types involved, each with different fees and waiver policies.

If the change is only for date and time, and not involving a change in the routing, then subject the award seat availability on the new flights and so long as travel has not yet commenced, you can change the flights (make no difference if e-ticket or paper ticket). This will require the ticket to be re-validated and the fee for ticket re-validation is 2500 points and this fee is generally waived for Gold and Platinum FF members.

If the change involves a routing change, the subject to award seat availability on the new flights and so long as travel has not yet commenced, you can change the flights (makes no difference if e-ticket or paper ticket). This requires the ticket to be re-issued and the fee for a ticket re-issue is 5000 points and this fee is not generally waived for any member unless the change is involuntary due to an airline schedule change.

Thanks for the clarification; I think I understand now :)
I would most likely only be concerned about date/time changes, not a routing change.
I have requal'ed for WP through Apr 2007, and the award will be for Aug 2006.

I guess the next trick is to find an Australian mailing addr to save the booking fee, the website won't let me book as I am US-based. I have a friend in Ballarat. :)
