American Express Membership Rewards - Orbitz coughing up 10k points per cruise

I just checked out a link from a Sherman's Travel email I got today. Apparently, Orbitz is offering 10,000 Amex points on any cruise booked before 12/31. I'm thinking of booking some cheapo cabin to nowhere to get the 10k points, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about it. Is this a good deal, or are the points not worth it?

Inasmuch as American Express will sell you 10,000 points for $250, and the offer says "prices from $279", it wouldn't be worthwhile unless you would actually enjoy the cruise.
