Either at the SYD or BAH Gulf Air desk, how would you, as a more experienced/FFP elite ask to 'upgrade' to Movenpick hotel?
We are en route to DUB for my wife's father's funeral, and if ther is any way I can make the trip more pleasant or more restful before we go to the funeral, the better.
Thanks to Cedar Jet's great help, we are looking forward to a better trip than our recent experiences on the UA LAX-SYD :rolleyes: flight.
In the spirit of FT, I'm wondering if there is a precedent for Gulf showing some compassion for grieving travellers and allowing us, if the flight is not full, to use a voucher for the Movenpick or Gulf hotels, instead of the Gulf Gate? ^

Sightseeing/tour advice for Bahrain? Our layover in BAH is all day, until a 2AM flight, so how could we arrange a tour of Bahrain?
