Anyone tried this company? Why is it free? What's the catch?

The catch is, since 9/11 there's not much to see at Hoover Dam anymore.

The catch is they're trying to bring potential customers to see Laughlin. The casinos there subsidise the buses and offer the free buffets. Usually you get some type of funbook also.

There are a couple of these, but not all do the photo stop at Hoover. Luxury tour buses, about a 90 minute trip each way and 5 hours or so there. Also an outlet mall, water taxis on the Colorado river and some other things for those not as into gaming. Payout % is pretty good and low tables if you are.

Btw, this doesn't include a tour of inside the dam, just a stop to walk around on top & take pics. Kind of amazing they built this huge thing in this canyon with the crude tools of the 30's, and Lake Mead behind it and around the colorful rock of the mountains. Something to see if you've never been.

The tours down to the generator room are being done again, but it isn't as broad a tour inside the dam as before.

And what's this 3rd "Stateline/Las Vegas day trip"? I only have one day for these, is that the best one for me or should I stick with the Dam?

That trip takes you to Primm at the CA/NV line about 40 miles south of Vegas. 3 Casinos, Buffalo Bills, Whisky Pete's, and Primm Valley. Small Outlet Mall at PV, BB has a coaster & a couple other rides, and a golf course.

I believe this one also stops at Ethel M Choclates Factory and cactus gardens, but might want to check on that.

IMHO if I had to pick one, think I'd go to Laughlin, just a little more variety, and you'd get to take the dam tour! LOL

Might want to look at these to make your choice.
