Just booking a one-way DCA-SJU via PHL for May travel. The apply upgrades button was gone. Unsure if this is because of the forthcoming change that I believe I saw that preferred members will no longer need to request upgrades or not? Any insights? I should add that the button appeared when I made a January reservation for DCA-CLT.

Can a one way ticket be upgraded with miles? usairways.com seems to imply that domestic/caribbean upgrades with miles must be roundtrip. Just thought I'd ask, having never done it. Not sure I will this time either, but am thinking about it. I'm connecting in PHL to get the A330 down to SJU. Probably a calculated risk this far out, but oh well....I like living on the edge.
