Hi, got the little Black card invite in the mail last month.
The annual cost is 19,800HKD / yrs (~2,500 USD) and an "one time Joining Fee" of 24,800 HKD (~3,200 USD).
I haven't taken up the offer yet. The "one time Joining Fee" kind of steep.
I do not recall seeing mention of an "one time Joining Fee" - does this apply in other countries?
Also, has anyone been offer perks to 'hang on' to the card? i.e. airmiles, fee waivers etc?

Last year upon Centurion renewal, I decided the HKD 9,800 annual fee wasn't worth it (since a lot of the benefits don't appeal to me--private club access, subsidized golf fees, etc.), but Amex gave me 150,000 MR points as a perk to continue for one more year. So, I did. This year, as you said, the annual fee doubled to HKD 19,800 so I called to cancel the card. Amex offered 200,000 MR points to continue for another year, but I declined.
I have downgraded to Platinum, and still do not "miss" the Centurion Card.

If my math is correct, 200K MR gets you 16.7K AsiaMiles meaning not enough for a Econ ticket to Singapore (~3K HKD) to get you to spend 19.8K HKD - almost insulting.
Sounds like you did the right thing.

I am now in HongKong, and I use my card in almost everywhere.
7 from the 10 persons say, your card is very heavy.
I tell them, it's made from Titanium. ;)

I am sorry, my friend. No.
At moment when I was in HK, I called Centurion Card Concierge, and ask that question, they said:"no".
