I will arrive at Sydney International terminal and need to transfer to the domestic terminal to catch a Virgin Blue flight. I am seeking information on the train which connects these two terminals. Specifically, where do you catch it, what does it cost, and how frequently does it run? Thanks for any information.

Here's info on terminal transfer at SYD.... http://www.sydneyairport.com.au/SACL/To+and+From+Airport/Terminal+Transfer/Default.htm

Costs A$4 (yup that's right - outrageous for a 1 minute trip). Runs every 10 minutes or so. On arriving landside at international terminal, turn right and head right to the end. Go downstairs (escalator or lift) to get tickets (booth or machine).

Actually, about 2 months ago the price to take the train between International and Domestic went from about $5 to a ridiculous $13.20 (http://www.cityrail.info/fares/calculator.jsp?from=343&to=344)

I'd walk rather than use that facility.

The "T-Bus" (http://www.sydneyairport.com/SACL/To+and+From+Airport/Terminal+Transfer/Default.htm) costs $5, but other than the morning peak only runs every 30 mins.

There's a public bus service (#400) between Bondi Junction and Burwood which includes the T1 International and T3 Domestic Terminals in the route. Clearly marked bus stops are located on the arrivals level of each of these terminals. It runs approx. every 20 minutes during the day, 30 minutes in the evenings and costs $1.70 one-way. Int (T1) to Dom (T3): First 05:25, last 22:40 Dom (T3) to Int (T1): First 05:45, last 23:15 (21:15 Sun) (more here: Timetables (http://www.131500.info/realtime/timetableentry.asp) [put 400 as the bus route, select the day and click GO])
.I posted this on the Qantas Forum but is quite appropriate information for this thread.

Note that large suitcases etc. can be an issue on the Public bus.

OK, The SYD Train people have re-introduced the $5 ticket - See this Post (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=8598620#post8598620) on the Qantas forum. You can't buy the [$5] tickets from the machines [anymore] - you must go to the ticket counter and they give you a ticket which specifically says "INT to DOM transfer" (or vise-versa) on it. It looks very different to the regular city tickets.
