Starwood Preferred Guest - Any bonus point to join SPG ?

I saw a link somewhere to get bonus points when joining SPG, but cannot find it anymore :confused:

Can someone please point me to it? Thanks....

I don't think there are any promos that give points just for joining SPG. You can get some bonus points for signing up for their CC though, which is one of the best out there.
