Starwood Preferred Guest - Platinum upgrade few questions

Saw the thread on the upgrades and am really looking forward to it. I just made Platinum and my first trip they did not have much of an upgrade available (did get free breakfast which was nice).

Question - If I book two rooms under my number will both get upgraded or just the one that they put me in?

Question 2 - If I book two rooms under my name will I get the points for both rooms or only one?

Question 1 - you're entitled to an upgrade to best available room at checkin (up to a standard suite) for your personal room only.

Question 2 - you can earn points for up to 3 guest rooms under your name where you settle the bill at checkout.
