Any indication whether United will have another 30% bonus conversion early next year?
Since they have one right now (through the end of this year), and since they're dropping United in April, the indication I would bet more on is that they'll never have another such a bonus again! :)

i realized it about two or 3 days after i posted the inquiry
plan upon placing perhaps 2/3 of my remaining 50K into UA

this constant drumbeat of eroding benefits will make next year's renewal decision tough

with as many car rentals as i have in a typical year, still like the primary car insurance, and wish i had a better idea of other cards with similar benefit

I just did a 1,000 point conversion each to the UA accounts of my wife's cousin and my son.

The Diners Club representative said that the 1,000 miles would post within two weeks, but the 30% bonus would be posted separately early next year.

I did mention the promo code MPF 645, but she said I did not need to register with UA, and I got the impression the 30% would be fairly automatic regardless of whether I'd mentioned the promo.

She didn't seem to slow down or act as if she was indicating registration for that 30% bonus.

I just transfered DC to UAL miles. I tried to register, but the agent said this was not necessary.

She said UAL would automatically add 30% in Jan.

Has anyone been able to register, or is it automatic as the agent says?

Good idea. I've merged the threads since the topic is the same.

As a reminder, we have just until the end of the year to take advantage of this 30% bonus opportunity when converting DC points to UA miles.

As indicated in the foregoing thread in the UA forum, some people are starting to receive their 30% bonuses.

Mine was posted today with no hassle and no reminder phone call needed.

I transfered 11000 points and received only 3000 bonus points...I was expecting 3333

I am sure the fine print said something about thisYou should have gotten 3300. Send an "e-mail" to UA about the missing 300 (not 333) miles, using the online complaint form.

That's what I did for my son.
