Any suggestions for reasonable clean hotels or condo rentals in Puerto Rico for week of Dec 25 to Jan 1?

Depends on your preference for adventure, pampering or things for kids
Seeing that you are a Starwood member, if you like the Old City, I stayed in their their new property in Old San Juan last May and it is great for seeing the city. If you are a beach person, forget the Embassy Suites location in Dorado. Im actually organizing a conference for some ministers there because the beach is not good enough to encourage mixed bathing which could be an issue with the attendees :) The Westin in Rio Grande is good. All of these have shuttles to SJU.
I go there for business 2-3 times a year and stay at "Paradors". These are local inns that are approved by the tourist board. May not be spick and span, but a good value for your money. I particualy love the Guajataca property. Low on accomodations, but on a hill where all the rooms have a patio view of the ocean. You can open the windows and let the breeze and the sound of the waves lull you to sleep.
