In fact, the airlines must fly a full schedule at any cost! Read why!

Hahaha... You sure are gullible.
Look closely at the article.
It is not a news article.
It is a "PR" (public relations) article from the Unions. The article is not written by a journalist, there is no perspective or spin in the article other than that of the union.
You got duped by propaganda...

I can't believe anyone could write such a piece with a straight face. The job of the airlines right now is to get profitable; otherwise, even more people may lose their jobs.

Heroes? Give me a break. The whole press release is just another piece of union socialist cr*pola.

I knew what is was.

For clarrification: I was being sarcastic. I'm shocked by the press release, dismayed by the selfishness, and ashamed that the union representing many people I consider travel partners would take such a disgusting tact.

I was the gullible one for thinking you were serious and not picking up on the sarcasm. My bad, how embarassing. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

LAOCA:

I appreciate you posting the press release, regardless of how it was intended. If I was a flight attendant, I think I'd be looking to vote for a new AFA president the next time elections came around - someone who wouldn't stoop to something so tacky.

If the AFA was looking to drum up support, this definitely didn't help their cause.
