Well finally a bit of encurraging news, Points.com is now affiliated with Global Pass.
I am hoping that I can now use some of the 900,000 miles in my account. Problem is I only have 700 Miles available.
I wish someone could explain to me how a person can earn 1,050,000 Miles, use 100,000 and end up only with 700.
Is this what they call new math?

No, it called a "Failure to Communicate". Apparently you did not get the word on GP dropping their program with 3 weeks notice.
Isn't it strange that they could not send us emails when they made a drastic change in their program for those with GP miles --- YET I have received about 3 emails in the past 2 months about their new program??? Could it have been intentional?
As I have said, the terrible communication of GP with its customers is the main reason I do not do business with them anymore.

Sigh. I should have known better but I had brief moment of optimism before I added my GlobalPass account to my points.com profile--only to see that I had zero available miles. It's not that surprising to see that the million bonus miles are excluded from the available miles, but what happened to the ACTUAL miles I earned in the program? Do you suppose they used those up first when I made my award requests in June?
If so, that's a little petty. And short-sighted as it gives me absolutely no reason to continue doing business with GP. Why would I start accumulating miles in the program again now that my official balance is zero?
I'm not a big GP-basher and as I just returned from a wonderful trip to Peru (finally made it to Machu Picchu) and Brazil courtesy of my milion mile bonus, I'm quite happy with the benefits I received. But this latest move just baffles me. They're apparently saying they don't appreciate my business. So be it. But it's a funny business model.
