Sorry, I couldn't resist. We're returning to BKK for one night before taking an 8am flight home. Already spending 3 nts at the Peninsula BKK and 5 at Koh Samui, and we probably won't be getting into BKK (from Samui) until early evening. Any suggestions for a decent place to stay for one night?

I know, I have read all the BKK hotel threads - just wondering where might be a good location for a quick night and a hotel that'll make sure we get to the airport in time for our 8am flight the next day. We're not huge night owls but would like to the opportunity to have dinner and maybe enjoy an evening in the city without having to travel too far.

Thanks!

If you have 3,000/4,000 SPG points to spare, you can redeem a free night at Westin Grande Sukhumvit. Plenty of restaurants nearby and not too far from the highway leading to the airport.

Try the Emporium Suites - right at the Emporium Shopping Mall. Very large suites - right on the sky train - not too difficult to get on the freeway to the airport (about Suk 1). BTS station right there. Great food court (some nice restaurants too) up on the next to top floor - and a very nice movie theatre if you just want to relax and catch a movie.

Nice because you really don't need to leave the building to shop, movie, eat, sleep. Easier if you are tired of running about and want a little rest before your flight(s).
