Does anyone know if there are restaurants on the top floors of Taipei 101 (I know that the shopping mall at the lower levels have lots of restaurants)?

I visited the Taipei 101 in June - they did not serve anything up there yet but were preparing a bar (to be opened "soon").

I was there in May. They already had the plans for the bar ("soon" indeed), but it didn't look there were any plans afoot to serve food up there. I'll check with some friends in Taipei and get back to you.

Thanks Bjornstrom & alex0683de! I'll go and check them out anyway, but if not a dinner then an aperitive will do just fine ;)

I read that they opened the new sightseeing area making it possible to go outside on the top floor, this was not available in June.

There is a pretty good food court on the bottom floor of the Taipei 101. We tried a Japanese Teppanyaki place which was excellent. You sit in front of the chefs preparing your meal - nice experience.

I'll probably go back in December to check it out again.

Asked some Taiepei vendors about the tower. But none had been there.
Found this recent article...no mention of restaurants on the top.

TAIPEI, Taiwan - The world's tallest building's greatest asset is not at its pinnacle but in its basement.

There, a medley of 40 Asian restaurants offers meals for $5 to $10 a person.

I went to the top in August. No restaurants and you can not go outside. There are several nice restaurants in the mall at the base of the tower and a great food court in the basement.
