Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - Questions about upcoming SA/AC/JV itinerary

I've got a rather brutal WDH-JNB-LHR-YYZ-YQT-YAG in Y itinerary coming up in December and I have a few questions that I'm hoping someone here might be able to answer. The trip is actually two seperate tickets - one for WDH-YYZ and the other is YYZ-YAG. The WDH-LHR is on SA, LHR-YQT on AC, and YQT-YAG is on JV (Bearskin Airlines)

1. What is my baggage allowance on this trip? I assume that since I'm flying on a single ticket from Africa to Canada the piece concept should apply but I'm not really sure.

2. What are the chances that I'll be able to check my bags through to YAG when I check in at WDH? Is it even possible for a check-in agent to print a baggage tag with 5 segments on it? What are the chances that SA and JV have some kind of interline agreement?

3. I've got an assigned seat on the upper deck of the JNB-LHR portion but since I do not hold status the reservations agent advised me that I the check-in agent may not assign me to that seat. Any experiences?

4. Does anybody have any advice on the LHR transfer? I've got 2:25 to make the connection. From what I've read on other posts it sounds like my best option is to use the flight connections centre and avoid going through UK immigration.

5. Is it possible to pay a fee to enter the SAA arrivials lounge in LHR? I'd really like to have a shower during my connection if there is enough time.

Thanks for your help,

I don't think the SAA lounge at LHR accepts cash customers...

If you're booked on upper deck you should get your seat, unless something unusual happens.

Not sure about the rest of your questions, sorry.
