Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - AMM-BKK on Egypt Air - Input Appreciated

I need to get from Tel Aviv to Bangkok on the 27th of December. The flights in C Class are pretty damn expensive on El Al and Thai Airways

So, I started doing some searching and found that if I fly out of Amman to BKK on Egypt Air (via Cairo), a one way C class ticket it's about $700.

Has anyone done this route before? Any recent travels on Egypt Air internationally? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If you are looking for minimal comfort, it will be fine. Egyptair is rated 2* by Skytrax and has a 48" seat pitch in J, which isnt too bad. A new 777 is used CAI-BKK vv.

If you are open to suggestions, I would recommend trying

Etihad Airways. Long layover, but for $860 you can fly BEY-AUH-BKK with AUH-BKK in First Class! The A330 used on AUH-BKK is also very nice.

BAH-DXB-BKK on EK is $478

I have flown MS on the A340 in First. While the seat is old design, it is comfortabe. Business class looked (IMHO) like premium economy at best). The crew, however, were some of the most rudest individuals I havce EVER met! I was the only pax on 1 sector (12 seats in F - Row 1 non smoking - Row 2 smoking ... go figure!) Crew sat direclty behind me smoking, eating, playing with games in IFE. They woke me up with my laughing/talking. When I spoke to the purser regarding this, I was told I could sit on the otherside of the aircraft! No joke! I will NEVER fly on MS again becuase of the crew attitude! :eek:
