Hi,

I was shocked when I flied with CX last week out from HKG. I was sitting in F lounge and they have only Moet and Lanson in First class. Earlier even C lounge used to have Billecart. Now they said C lounge has only Lanson.

Why a top airline like Cathay starts to serve the cheapest available champagnes in their lounge when at the same time SQ for instance have Krug in their F lounge.

Of course I was even more shocked when I flied wit Dragon air a few months back to Beijing and found out that they have same champagne both in C and F - and it happens to be Moet. I know chinese do not drink champagne but still.

Only other airline I know doing the same (same champagne in F and C) is Air India, which offered me Mumm in their Dhaka-Delhi flight in F.

That's not a change. CX has always served that class of champagne in The Wing F section. Krug / Deutz has only ever been available on board.

( "Always/ever" means the last 6 years in my experience)

Very few airlines serve "F Class" champagne in their F lounges - certainly none of the OneWorld ones.

And Moet is a long way from the cheapest champage available.

LH does serve prestige cuvée champaigns in its F-lounge in MUC, over christmas period it will be dom perignon from magnum bottles
