Looking on the website, I cannot find the bassinette positions in business prem.
http://www.airnz.co.nz/travelinfo/ontheplane/seat_maps/boeing_747400_new_popup.htm
They are clearly marked on the 777 and the other cabins of the 747, but not here. I would guess the bulkheads, but does anyone have any experience of this, or could check?
Also what is the meaning of the seats that are greyed out,s such a sthe first three rows in Zone B, AB, JK of the Y+ in upperdeck and also some in Y?

I've specially uploaded from my computer this seatmap (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a14/ntddevsys/Air%20NZ/74R.jpg) which shows the Business Premier bassinet positions. Strange there not on the website... will have to have that fixed.
Don't know exactly why all those seats are greyed out from preselection but it is possible NZ use them for allocating last minute important customers (a bit like row 3 on 733 aircraft). Perhaps someone else here can shed more light ?

Shame that there is not one in the A zone. But that is probably good design I guess ;)
Also do people actually prefer the couples seating position as shown, next to each other, as I would have thought across from each other would have been better for conversation and to see each other.
Interestingly, my wife (hopeless romantic that she is) when she went through in the nice demo this morning gave the seats a big thumbs down. For two reasons;
1. recline in the seat does not look good, and she likes to layback and enjoy the films, and it looks like either a limited recline seat and or a bed.
2. She thought it was not good for couples as she would have expected for some seats the ability to recline the wall (like E/F seats on BA F) so that you can create the sensation of being side by side without the Berlin Wall between you.
Interestingly, when she saw the layout of the plane, she also looked at the Y+ and said 'there are no seats, why did they bother!'
