Bubank (BUR) is about 30 minutes from Valencia, depending on the time of day. It's less than 30 miles.

Burbank (BUR) is the closest for domestic flights. As Hiyo says, it's about 30 minutes by freeway (20 miles on I-5). However, it has limited direct flights and connections. You will also usually pay a 5-20% premium in ticket price for flying out of Burbank
If you are traveling long haul or internationally, you will probably need/want to fly out of Los Angeles International (LAX). That's about 38 miles by freeway and can range from 45 minutes at off-hours to over two hours in bad rush hour traffic. If you are flying out of LAX, you might consider not driving all the way out there...but only driving to the Van Nuys FlyAway parking and shuttle bus service. http://www.lawa.org/vny/flyAwayInfo.cfm The shuttle runs 24 hours a day, delivers you to your airline's terminal, and is only $3.50 one way. Parking in Van Nuys is $4 a day, or half what you will pay in the cheapest LAX parking lot. (...there is a 15 day limit...)
