There has been a lot of talk about business class fares ex BKK.
I am flying to SE Asia at least 2-3 times a year sometimes more.
In January I am doing a one way to MNL on EVA AIR in ED class.
From there we are going to BKK on SQ and originally I was going to buy a one way from BKK back to Vancouver in C Class.
I am going back in April to BKK and I am now thinking to buy a return c-class ticket instead of one way and then buy another return for my next trip coming back from BKK to YVR as I will continue to fly this route throughout the year.

Only question I have is there anything about doing this that is not legal and the airline could actually cancel your ticket?
I don't think there is but wanted to make sure.
Ticket will most likely be issued on ASIANA, from the Expedia.ca website.

Thanks very much for any input on this.

No problem at all with doing this. It is what most FT'ers who regularly are flying to the Orient are doing. That C ticket from BKK to YVR typically has very few restrictions too so you can change the return dates easilly. I am actually doing the same thing on UA.

Buy the roundtrip for sure - the return can always be fully refunded. The ex-BKK fares on OZ are a great deal, especially the C fare BKK-YVR because unlike the LAX/SFO/SEA fares, the YVR fare allows travel on codeshare flights. OZ metal C-class truly blows on all 744s & most 777s, but on your route you will actually be on AC metal in C-Class which is quite nice (http://www.airliners.net/open.file/405989/M/) in comparison.

Thanks Peter and Colin. Thank you for that nice link to airliners.net with picture of AC C-class Colin. I have flown on those older 767 a few times and their seats though old are quite comfortable in C.
Thanks also for all the info, it's what I was hoping to hear.

Any idea why OZ and even other airlines are selling c-class at such a low fare out of BKK? I hope it lasts.
