Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - How many CX diamonds are there?

i am an LH HON customer and want to change a part of my business to CX. i will get diamond status in a very short time. i am based in Germay.

is there a number how many CX diamonds are around? is this still something "special" like HON for LH (even if you can have up to 15 in one plane on LH)? As LH HON, you are used to very nice treatment in the air and on the ground, especially if there are any delays, re-bookings, etc.

furthermore, i have some side questions:
a) are there any unpublished benefits?
b) i have read in this forum different things about admission to the WING lounge: can you really go there even if you fly on, lets say, Lufthansa?
c) will you get an electronic cart in HKG if you arrive in CX F class? or do you have to order it in advance from the shuttle service company?
d) are there any "events" for diamonds in Germany?

CX does not comp MPC DM. They 'may' give you GOLD by only if they see a substantial change of reservation to CX flights. I'd like to know how you will gain DM in a 'very short time'. You need the equivalent of something like 210K miles within one year to get from zero status to DM.

There are no 'special' treatments for DM, not even for IN. For your status as HON on LH, the level you should be aiming for is INVITATION and not Diamond. Diamond is the equivalent of SEN.

a) Yes. Getting revenue seats changed to award seats. But not all the time.
b) As Diamond, you can use the Business Class lounge when flying on another airline.
c) No. You may only get the Electronic cart only if your gate is far away upon departure from HKG. You cannot book the cart for arrivals.
d) There aren't many even for HKG members.

Currently there are: 8 INVITATIONs, 76 DIAMONDs, 343 GOLDs, 1144 SILVERs, 2038 GREENs or Asiamiles members in GERMANY.

That is not strictly speaking correct. It may not be common to comp MPC Diamond, but it does happen.
