ok. So its true. I been running XP for maybe 1.5 years without rebuilding the machine.
So for a long time now, I have not been able to put the machine in to standby/hibernation. I can do it, but then I get a BSOD when the machine trys to come back. Given that the boot times take forever and it also takes forever for outlook to startup, I really want to get this working.
It just kills me to have to restart all the time esp. when I just want to check a document in a lounge while waiting for a flight
So what can I do? Is there some cache file I can blow away? I've got like 1.5Gb free on the main C partition and the file needed for hibernation is like 600Mbs.
