Has anyone flown with Air Canada?
I'm flying to London with the Boeing 767 - 300ER (763).
Does anyone know if their seats are equipped with personal televisions?

Welcome to Flyertalk! You may get more answers to this in the Air Canada forum, but in the meantime here is the information you're looking for:

In Executive (Business) Class there are PTVs (as well as very nice food and service).

In economy THERE ARE NO PTVs on ANY of the planes Air Canada use to serve Heathrow. The only PTVs Air Canada has at the moment in economy are on their long range Airbus A340-500's (used mostly on the Toronto to Hong Kong route).

You will get a couple of films on the cinema style screens at the front of the cabin, Service is usually OK and the food is not bad.

Air Canada are due to fit their entire fleet with PTVs over the next 12-18 months (even the small regional jets they use on flights within Canada) so by late 2006 things will be very different.

NO PTVs?!!!
Well, I guess I'm going to have to fly with British Airways.
Although I did pay my travel agency an initial deposit of $100 for flying with Air Canada.
Bummer....

Are you in the front of the bus?

Those aircraft are a 1-2-2 configuration. If you're lucky enough to be up there, try to get the one. Very comfy and you get and aisle seat and windows seat all in one, with a very handy storage bin.

^ I'm probably going to drop the idea of flying with Air Canada. No PTV = No fun
I've always admired British Airways' service. And I think most of their aircrafts do have PTVs.

I'm so excited, though! I'm 19, and I'm travelling to London and Dubai without my parents!!!
That's hot!

You get the only vote that matters but I wouldn't think it to be worth $100 (the deposit you've paid and I assume you'd lose) to watch TV.

I would definately fly BA. The only area in which AC betters BA is in the economy seat pitch, where Air Canada has 34" vs British Airways's 31"
