Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Priceline Asia Board almost inactive -- is there anything similar?

I thought the biddingfortravel equivalent for Priceline Asia used to get quite a few postings. Today I checked and several forums are dated 2-3 years back :(

I am researching to bid for a night or two in Auckland, NZ. Is there another board out there that might have some bid history?

Also, it seems Hotwire doesn't offer Auckland at all :td: There isn't another Hotwire out there to try, is there (ie. Hotwire Asia ;) )?

Thanks.

Agreed, there is not much info out there.

Has mention of a few PL hotels, but not pricing.

Please post if you find anything else, or what you've (un)successfully bid for a zone and star level. You might find some info on AUK hotels in the QF and ANZ airline forums, or the Hilton Diamond Club discussion in the Qantas forum. There are some Hilton special offers if you join the Diamond Club, or get the vouchers from membes.

My experience has been that if a hotel is bid for a particular price on the US Priceline site, it will go for the same price after currency conversion on the HK site. This may be give or take a handful of dollars, but I believe they use the same inventory and prices.
