BEIJING (AFX) - China's three major airlines have submitted a proposal to the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC) to hike jet fuel surcharges on domestic routes to offset the impact of escalating oil prices, an official from the aviation regulator told XFN-Asia.

The three airlines are Air China, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines.
