Hilton HHonors - Hilton Hawaiian Village Apartments?

I'm traveling to Hawaii, and the HHV told me that they do not have accomodations during part of the time period that I'm there, but they told me they could set me up in the Hiton Hawaiian Village Apartments which I was told is by the Diamond Head Tower.

Anybody have experience with that?

Misc facts:

*I'm a Diamond, but they can't get my business rate for that time period, but they can in the Apt's

*I'm not sure this is a common option, but I'm staying for 14 nights, and I've stayed at the HHV about 40 nights this past year, and I'm a Diamond, so they were trying hard to help me..

*I'm not clear if the Apt's have anything to do with the Vacation Timeshare stuff.

Any information would be appreciated.

The "apartments" are the timeshares.

I forgot to update this earlier.

I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Apartment, and it was not the Vacation Club.

At the very corner of the property across from the Hale Koa and the Hale Koa garage across the street is the Hilton Diamond Head Apartments. Ya, it’s right by the Diamond Head Tower.

The building is left off the interactive map at the HHV website.

It’s definitely older than any of the hotel rooms. It’s across from a back area of HHV that generates a lot of noise. And the TV is tiny.

But I liked it.

It was apartment style in that it had a separate bedroom, down the hall..the bathroom, and then the kitchen and living room.

Since I was there for 11 days, it was nice having a full kitchen. I used it. I’m not sure if they are supposed to…but the maids (yes, there still is daily maid service – but only for some people staying there) did the dishes everyday.

It made getting to the car a snap…as I used the Hale Koa parking garage across the street.

On long stays, I like the apartments. On shorter stays, I’d prefer the niceness and inclusion of staying in one of the towers.
