Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - MPC Club Miles Related Quesitons

Hello,

I am planning to travel from Sydney to Hong Kong on 30 November (the flight will arrive on 1 Dec Morning).

From my understanding, my current membership period will be end on 30 Nov. If I travel on that day, is my club miles still count into the current membership period? or I need to choose a flight which arrive in HK on 30 Nov?

For MPC the official answer is that the membership year is based on when the miles post to your account, not the flight date. Normally for ex-SYD it will take 2 or 3 days.

However, if you call MPC and explain to the situation to them I expect that they would allow a flight on CX commencing on 30 November to be included in that year if it makes a difference for requalification purposes.

If the flight is on QF then I think you're out of luck.

If you speak to them or email them, they are more than happy to extend the membership for one more month. This happened to me before, when I was 5000miles short to renew the current tier. So they extended me for one month and when I collect enough miles, they then could renew the membership for another year in same tier.
