Hilton HHonors - 2% on Hilton via ebates

Last week I signed up for the ebates via the conga here on FT. I just logged in and noticed that they now have a 2% payout on bookings for Hilton. Since most of us here are doing it anyway, I thought I'd post it. Here's a link to the ebates conga thread:

^ Since the ebates link bounces you back to the Hilton site, there doesn't seem to be any risk of losing HHonors points and benefits on the booking, either.

I was going to post this yesterday, I already completed a trip and got my 2% back, on the hotel via Hilton.com and 2% for my car rental via Travelocity

It's only $9, but it's better than nothing.

And yes, I am getting all my points and bonus points for the stay :cool:

Will highly recommended, with hotels not giving a booking bonus, this is awesome :)^^

i have conrads stays booked for 50days . i rebooked all and will get a lot of money now...

What is the time frame for the rebate to post to the ebates account? My last stay was nearly four weeks ago, and I've yet to see the 2 percent hit my account.

The tracking ticket's there, so that's not an issue. I just didn't know whether to be concerned about the time frame or not, though.

If four weeks is normal, then I won't worry about it for a little while longer.

Hmmm..so if you book your own travel, but then charge it back to your company, client, etc. Do they get the rebate....I think PWC got busted for this a while back... So play nice!

Can anyone confirm ebate and points, which does seem like it wouldn't be a problem, but you never know.

Also, is the 2% on the total folio? If so, it actually would be worthwhile to book reward stays and get the 2% on incidentals. :)

I had done one stay using ebates 2%, it had not worked for me. not sure why. Anyways, I am going through fatwallet fatcash right now (2% as well and im supporting my favorite website) and hoping it turns out better.

I placed a few reservations through ebates and am waiting for my rebate. It's only been about 2 weeks, so I'm not concerned yet. I did see the following exception on their site:

Hilton Hotels: Orders made within the HHonors program do not qualify to earn Cash Back.

What exactly does that mean? Hopefully I still get my rebate...

looks like this an Ebates sign-up thread now ;) Sorry, I am already using Ebates. Does the 2% credit after the stay? I have booked a pre-paid rate and was wondering when the credit should show up, after they received the $$$ or after the stay?

This is a great find. I spend lots of bucks at Hiltons. The AMEX HHonors card is a savings but every little bit helps.

That is what I would have thought also, at least with points and benefits. It now appears that the rebate however will not be happening. :(

No - none of the bookings I ever made via ebates ever showed up as a rebate.
