This from Voyager today:

"Air New Zealand has joined the Voyager Program effective 1 October 2005, Voyager members are now able to earn and redeem miles on the services of Air New Zealand.

Air Portugal will be joining the program soon, watch the website for updated information.

Partnership between SAA Voyager and Hertz Car Rental has been terminated, effective from 31 December 2005.

Voyager will be terminating the Delta Frequent Flyer relationship as of 1 April 2006.
Voyager will be terminating the Cathay Pacific Frequent flyer relationship as of 1 June 2006."

A newspaper report also says SA is looking at other US destinations such as Denver, Chicago and Miami. And that SA will retain the codeshare with Qantas and that with Delta on the JNB/ATL route for 2 years.

Raises some interesting thoughts like:

Might we finally get a non-stop flight to the US again?

We will lose access to the fabulous CX lounges in HKG :(
