Hilton HHonors - 2 rooms at a time in different countries

I am going on holiday this December, staying in a variety of Hilton properties from 1st-29th however I have also booked my mum and friend into the Hilton Dublin for her Birthday whilst I am away. I made the booking in my name with my HHonors number. Does anyone know if there will be a problem since the computer might show up that i'm in 2 seperate countries at the same time. Should I email the hotel to inform them that I have arranged a trip for my mother and that it will be her who is staying in the room. I understand I probably wouldn't get points/credit for both but just realised what I had done afterwards.
Thanks very much
To avoid the potential of problem, I'd change the booking for your mother into her name. There's no reason why her name should not be on the booking if she's the one who is staying.

Tigger1 -
Welcome to FT!!!.
For security and other reasons, the person staying in the room s/b the one on the reservation. Just attach your HH number to the folio and you will/should get her points.

Make sure the person staying there has their name on the reservation.
I've had two or three hotel rooms in different countries where the reservation dates overlap and it's not generally been an issue -- but my name was on the reservation and I was the guest.

No, they shouldn't. HHonors policy specifically notes that the member must be the one staying in order to get the points. They have every right to reject the point/stay credit if the name on the reservation does not match the name on the HHonors account.
From HHonors T&C:
2. To earn HHonors points for hotel stays, a Member must be a registered, paying guest at a participating HHonors hotel and meet all of the conditions described as follows.
If the OP changes the registration (as he/she should, given the scenario) to mom's name, the OP is neither registered nor paying, and therefore has no right to the points. Note that this does not mean that it won't happen, but saying that it should happen is not accurate.

I am 2 for 2 in getting HH points for me on another named reservation (while I'm staying elsewhere). This is another instance of T & C saying one thing, with varying interpretations by inidvidual properties. This I suppose is one reason we have FT

Mrs. Dudemon and I had trouble getting the points to post for our two rooms at the HHV. We have a mutual account and we each had a res. At first they posted my points then when I called to find out why hers didn't post they corrected it by deleting my points and adding hers. They finally got it right after two more calls but I had to call the HHV to get them to "okay" the 10k promotional bonus with my res and the whole thing started again.
Good luck if you can get it to fly, you'll need it!
