JetBlue TrueBlue - JetBlue's award program has unfortunate limitation

If I ticket an award ticket for someone other than me, and I later need to cancel it, the credit does not get returned to my account. The ticket can be changed (both as to routing and departure time) but NOT as to the name on the ticket.

This limitation is unfortunate! I prefer UA's system, whereby an award ticket may be cancelled and the miles redeposited for a fee.

Anyone know if there's a fee to change the routing/departure time? can't seem to find the info on the website/

AFAIK, you can change a reward ticket for $25 online (or $30 over the phone or at the airport), they cannot be cancelled, and have to be used within a year.
