Mileage Run Deals - Help w AA run from DTW

I look to the experts. I need 10413 miles or 4931 points for plat requal. I have a passport and have had my shots. I look for a weekend run and can add a Friday or Monday but not both. I see DTW-ORD-LAX-ANC rt for $446 11/12-11/14 but that leaves me short. It appeals because it's high mileage w/o too many segments and I can perhaps use segment upgrades ORD-LAX & back.

What do you suggest? Thanks in advance.

At the moment AA has DTW-LAX for under $200 including all taxes with no minimum stay and no advance purchase. You can even do a same day round trip.
DTW-xDFW-SFO-LAX = 2951 miles o/w
DTW-xORD-DFW-LAX = 2537 miles o/w
Etc.

You can do two roundtrips and reach your goal for about $400 depending on the routings. I am doing a couple of these myself for the same reason and prefer this to an international run since all segments can be upgraded using stickers.
