Hilton HHonors - Hampton Inn getting new (feather)pillows!

I mentioned to the shuttle driver at the Billings, MT Hampton Inn this morning that while I love Hampton Inn and their new bedding, I just can't handle their pillows - too thick and tall and they give me a neck ache.
He said, "Well I guess a lot of people must have complained because we're all adding feather pillows to the beds by this spring."
I sure hope that's true. Anyone else find those new pillows too "lofty?"
I ask for a feather pillow in the special comments when booking every hotel but only 2 Hampton Inns have ever been able to accommodate me on that request.

Thank goodness, it's about time. The pillows were the weakest link in the Hampton chain. I get a stiff neck after almost every stay. This will be a good reason for me to begin staying at Hampton again. I had shunned them because of the pillow situation. On the last few road trips where I had a Hampton stay, I actually packed my own pillow, but that is a hassle unless I'm driving from home.

since I complained so loudly and so often about the crappy potholders they used to put on the beds in place of pillows.

I'm allergic to feathers and hope they still offer foam or dacron fill as an option.

I actually like Hampton's new pillows -- but I'm a big pillow person. I sleep with two pillows under my head at home. But the new Hampton pillows are pretty similar to what I have at home, so that's probably why I like them. The one thing I can't stand are flimsy, flat pillows.

I like HIs pillows over the offerings at the other lower-end propertes out there. Feather pillows are a definate plus. I've had feather pillows at other HIs, but I think it is up to the individual property right now.
I need to remember to add feather pillows in the comments section when I reserve ^

Same here. I like the way that many Sheratons do it - two foam pillows, two feather pillows. I can toss the feather pillows to the other side of the room and be done with it.

Hamptons have definitely improved. The new beds are much better, I agree that there should be both foam and feather pillows in every room.
Some hotel guests have allergies and cannot sleep w/ feather pillows. But for those of us w/o allergies the feather pilows are wonderful.

The new beds, pillows, linens are very comfortable. It's hard to get out of bed in the morning.

After struggling to sleep last night in a Carlson dump, I can't wait to get to a Hampton tomorrow night. I had to use all four pillows in the room and still couldn't get comfortable, and the bed is like sleeping on a piece of plywood.a
Hopefully the Hampton I'm staying in the next two nights has the new bed. I've stayed in a couple lately that didn't, but I don't think I've ever stayed in a Hampton that had a bed as uncomfortable as the one where I am now.
