Planning to stop by JFK, then YYZ and back to HKG for my personal vacation. I have a few options in mind but I am stumped:

1. Fly direct: HKG-JFK(CX)-YYZ(AA)-HKG(CX)
Most direct but the most expensive option :(

2. DONE1: HKG-LHR(CX)-JFK(BA or AA)-YYZ(AA)-HKG(CX)
Haven't booked a DONE1 before ex-HKG. How much is it and where do you guys book it?

3: Stopover in BKK for a night (HKG-BKK-HKG-JFK-YYZ-HKG)
My agent told me they can get it for HKD 10-20K cheaper, but I have to stay overnite in BKK and fly out the next morning.

4: Fly CX direct on corporate rates
Is it possible to book thru my corporate travel agent for personal trips, since the corporate rates for my company on CX-J is quite attractive (of course it will be billed to my cc) ;) I have never tried this before.

What about a HKG/JFK and YYZ/HKG open jaw using your corporate J fare on CX then buy a separate one way New York LGA/YYZ?

The LGA/YYZ flight is only about 1 h 30 min and I don't think that it is critical to fly J/C. The cheapest one way economy fare is about US$150 inclusive of taxes. AC probably offers the most frequency but it's *A. AA also flies LGA/YYZ (no JFK/YYZ). Check fare/schedule at www.aircanada.com or www.aa.com.

(I notice that you don't really like AC but for a 1.5 hour flight, you may want to put up with it for the right fare and schedule. However, I must also say that AC's inflight service has improved over the past year or two but definitely not in the same league as CX or SQ. Better than AA and UA though. Skytrax that rated CX the world's best also rated AC North America's best. They cannot get this rating for not trying.)
