I need to book three first class seats, two for SEN's and one for antoher M&M member.
For the two SEN's a wailist for an full award flight would be possible, but not for the basis member.
Does anyone know how to check O-class availability without calling the Hotline again and again, because this is the only answer you get from the agents.
OK, it's not their money but by calling a 0180-number perhaps twice a day I can soon buy the F-class ticket.

Pre Sept 14 you could check O class online by making a dummy award booking on m&m.com. Now F awards are gone from the website, but they have promised to restore it in the future. F&A class availability are any indicator, but not 100% reliable.

I can´t understand people like you.
You have to pay between 70€-250€ for taxes and fees and you spend a lot of miles for FC Tickets, not one but three!
And then, you´re telling us something about costs for phonecalls?
01803... costs are 0.09€/minute and 01805 are 0.12€/minute.
Even if you make 2 calls a day with 3 minutes each, you would have to pay only 0.63€ a day.
You would have to do that for about 10000 days (or 27 years) to get your F-Class Ticket as a real paid one! :)

Nice calculation :D
Please make a new one with the non-official normal number (0561...) that can be found here (http://www.tk-anbieter.de/0180/search.php?name=Lufthansa+Miles%26More+FTL+Service +Tel&nr=&ersatz=&num=100)! With choosing cheap callbycall you pay around 1 Cent per minute...
27years * 9 = ...

However, I agree woth FlorianGrassl, that it is not very convienient to call the hotline for checking the availibility of a FC-award flight. No problem for me (I don't fly FC at all), but if I imagine to check the availibility for all award-flights by phone...

So let's hope for the FC-award flyers that the function will return to the M&M-website!

tHe cheapest way: use voip softwares that can call for free German fixed phoneline (like 0561...)!
and yes, you´re absolutely right, that this situation right now isn´t very convenient!

OK, I have to admit that flying by miles is still cheaper than paying the full fare. ;) But "people like me" often have to use a mobile phone and than a call makes about 0.70 € per minute, so it makes about 10,-- EUR for the phone call and about 200,-- EUR taxes and surcharges for a ticket that should be for free. Nevertheless all I wanted to say is that it has been an inconvient situation up to now because the FIRST CLASSS SEARCH IS NOW AGAIN AVAILABLE on the M&M site.
P.S. Thanks for the phone number, that makes it much better!

I hear you!

I find all this 0180x-stuff very confusing. Some fifteen years ago (or so), when everyone was being charged for calls just by the German Telekom, 0130-numbers were introduced, inspired by the American 0800-numbers, that were free of charge. Why ever many, many companies not only decided to get rid of these numbers again, but also started charging their customers for services that should naturally be included, is a mistery to me ("just because they could"? Thanks, Bill... :D ).
It doesn´t seem very likely that any of the companies can cover their costs for the call center by charging 6-12 cents a minute. At ideally 3.60€ to 7.20€ per hour, the contribution isn´t exactly enormous... So what´s the purpose of these charges? To annoy customers? Or are they more of an educational instrument to keep people from calling too often, being too persistent in their requests, etc.?
Well, in the end, there is tk-anbieter.de and the possibility of just asking them to return your call :) . -txl.
